Canada Day at the Beach!
Canadians in Orange County is thrilled to partner with the Consulate General of Los Angeles in bringing the Canadian expat community together again, right here in Orange County, to celebrate Canada Day! Zaib Shaikh, Consul General will be with us to share his perspective on the Canadian expat community and Canada’s special relationship with the USA, as we celebrate Canada Day together.
This is a family friendly picnic event at the beach, where everyone is invited; Canadians, and friends of Canadians! Pack your picnic basket, bring a cooler with something to grill, wear your favorite Canadian tee shirt, ball cap, face paint, or just wear some RED and WHITE. Show your Canadian pride to kick off the summer with our fellow Americans!

About The Location
This will be the 3rd year we’ve reserved a beautiful site at Doheny State Beach. We celebrate at the beach to enjoy what many of us moved here for. The site we’ve reserved has a large paved area, with shaded picnic tables, access to sinks, and large BBQ grills, which we’ll keep hot throughout the day.
Event Schedule
11:00 am - Event opens
12:00 pm - BBQs hot and food service begins (for those who purchased)
1:00 pm - Mountie arrives
1:30 - Group photo with our Mountie
2:30 pm - Canadian Consul General, Zaib Shaikh remarks
6:00 pm - Event wraps up
10:00 pm - Park closes
Activities For Kids and Kids at Heart
We have a team of volunteers from CHOC Children’s dedicated to organizing fun activities, including cornhole, tattoo station, craft station, giant jenga, coloring, giant bowling, and pet therapy.
